The city of Johannesburg offers a reward of 100,000 rand for information that would lead to the arrest of suspects who stole cables worth $ 2 million.Cables were stolen during a burglary at the Johannesburg data centre in Braamfontein, Mayor Herman Mashaba said in a statement released Saturday.

He stated that the stolen cables were connected to two recently purchased generators that were being tested.

Mashaba said that there was no damage or power cuts.

He said they were building their data center and disaster recovery center.
