Google Launches Aiy Vision Kit For Raspberry Pi

Google launched its AIY Vision Kit that proposes an acceleration of the neural network on the device.

The kit requires users to add a Raspberry Pi Zero W, a Raspberry Pi camera, an SD card and a power supply.

"The kit includes a cardboard outer shell, the VisionBonnet circuit board, a RGB arcade type button, a piezo speaker, a wide macro / lens kit, a tripod mount nut and others components. "

The unit and its software can be used to recognize common objects, faces and their expressions, as well as cats and dogs.

"We have also included a tool to compile templates for Vision Kit, so you can train and recycle TensorFlow models on your workstation or any cloud service."

The vision kit will be available in early December, with pre-orders now open.
